If you are getting married, chances are you’ve gone over your shot list with your wedding photographer. Have you ever thought about making sure you allow your photographer to capture all the wedding details of your special day? The wedding details are often forgotten about during a busy wedding day. However, they are often the long lasting items that really allowed your wedding to unique to you and your love story.
We’ve asked Kentucky wedding planner and florist, Giselle Callahan from Giselle Callahan Weddings, to give us some insight on why these extra detailed shots are so important.
“Give your photographer and event designer/stylist at least 2 HOURS prior to the ceremony for all those lovely, magazine-worthy details you have planned. This is outside of your getting ready photos, first look and pre-wedding group photos, so give four hours total. Be sure to pack your stationery, rings, ring boxes, jewelry, perfume and and other special trinkets. Why? Your wedding day is going to fly by and photographs will be how you remember all of the pretty things. BONUS: If you have gorgeous detail images, your wedding is far more likely to be picked up for feature by local/national publications.”
Your wedding shoes, the perfume you wore, his cuff links are all details that are truly personal to you as a couple. These are the items you’ll carry with you after the wedding is over and will have for a lifetime. What better way to capture these important details than by having them beautifully photographed.
Giselle Callahan offers event design and coordination in addition to boutique-quality floral design through Lovely Leaves. Their style is up-to-date and inspired by all things gorgeous. Planners at heart, they work with each client to be sure the design of her florals is woven perfectly into the fabric of her wedding to create an overall amazing day packed full of style and loveliness. With coordination, she personally ensure that each detail is taken care of for a perfect, stress-free day. “Kaytee is an absolute GEM! She has so much passion and care for what she does, that you feel like she's a friend more than a vendor. She walks you through each step of the floral process with organization, examples, cost, and detail -- all things that make my detail-oriented heart happy. The end result far exceeded anything we could have hoped for or imagined. ALL. THE. GREENERY. Future brides, run, don't walk to Roots for your wedding. From start to finish, she took care of every single floral need to make our day positively beautiful.”
-Laura, Summer 2019 Wedding
"Kaytee became so much more than a vendor for us. The first time I met her I felt as though I met a long lost friend. She was the very first vendor I chose for the wedding (even before the venue) and she lived up to all my expectations and went above and beyond. Each time I met with her I felt confident that she completely comprehended my wants and would fashion them into something that looks put together, yet natural. The day-of she silently transformed a bland rustic space into an enchanting, romantic barn. I couldn't have asked for anything more beautiful or unique."
-Grace, Spring 2019 Wedding
"Kaytee was so great to work with!!! I provided her with some floral inspirations from Pinterest and Instagram but gave her a lot of free rein coming up with the flowers for our wedding and she went above and beyond expectations. Our photographer was obsessed with all the bouquets and we got so many great pictures of them! She did such a good job making my smaller budget work to make high impact arrangements. She's also the sweetest person to be around!"
