Love is not cancelled. If I had to describe this wedding in one sentence, that's what it would be. Andy and Alex had envisioned a spring wedding with all the amazing in=season blooms and very cool reception installations. When the pandemic hit, Andy and Alex decided that they still wanted to get married on their original wedding date and have their reception party later. This ended up being the perfect decision for them, plus we got to flower for them twice! My favorite thing about this wedding was that we were able to design with both spring and fall flowers.
Their ceremony took place during quarantine, so they had a very small group of people attend to watch them say their vows. We created a show-stopping ceremony installation and bouquet. I love how this couple still wanted to go all out for their ceremony, even though it was intimate. I personally think the arch is what made their ceremony! (Besides their obvious love for each other :)). We designed with coral charm peonies, garden roses, locally grown poppies, delphinium, ranunculus, and spirea.
The reception was several months later at The Transept. Alex, the bride, was inspired by the stain glass windows at this venue and wanted the colors to reflect that. She also wanted to transform The Transept and have it feel we brought the outdoors in. We did just that! The team installed southern smilax greenery on the entire railing on the balcony and poles. It completely transformed the space, as promised. We also loved designing with in-season fall flowers this time around. We designed with dahlias, distant drum roses, delphinium, nigella. ranunculus, and phlox.
I'm so happy for Andy and Alex. They made the best out of an impossible decision and got to celebrate their love twice (who wouldn't want that!). I wish them all the best!

"Kaytee has been nothing short of AMAZING! From the first time we met with her I knew that she would be able to make all of my wedding flower dreams come true! And that is exactly what she did! From my bouquet, to all of the personals for the wedding party, to filling the terrariums that my mom and I bought for my centerpieces! She never hesitated to help us with suggestions or brain storm when changes needed to be made. Even with her moving out of the state that I live in, she never missed a meeting or detail! Kaytee and her assistant even stayed to make sure all of the transition from cocktail hour location to our dinner location was a smooth and seamless as we wanted! Our day was so perfect and a HUGE reason why was because of Kaytee’s professionalism and passion for her business! Thank you so much Kaytee! I would recommend Roots Floral Design to anyone and everyone!"
