This all white and green wedding at The Summit Hotel is major heart eyes for any couple looking for wedding inspiration! Steve and Thao really cared about the floral designs and how they were to be used in the reception space at The Summit Hotel. They wanted to push the boundaries of design and make sure that the flowers elevated the space.
With an all white and green floral color palette, texture and dimension is important so your centerpieces and installations don't blend and fall flat. Even though Steve and Thao wanted a classic twist to my traditional garden style, they were completely on board with using greenery. The Southern Smilax and Italian Ruscus greenery made for such a beautiful shape across all the arrangements. I especially love it being used behind their sweethearts table.
Steve and Thao really cared about their ceremony and making sure it felt like them while not taking away from the church's architectural beauty. The greenery along the railing really brought the outdoors in and softened the space. It really made the altar transform! The aisle decor and ceremony urns also played a role in softening the space and were reused during the reception.
We had three different types of centerpieces for their reception. Greenery with candles, a traditional compote centerpiece, and my favorite table design from the day; the tall centerpieces in the clear glass vases. It was such an elegant and impactful look and really helped bridge the gap between the floor and ceiling. The aisle decor from the ceremony was placed along the front of the head table, lining the dance floor. So many pictures are taken of your head table and dance floor. Having flowers can beautify and add to your forever photos.
By far my favorite detail from this wedding at The Summit Hotel was their sweetheart table installation. This installation grounded the room and made sure guests could see and find the couple easily, even in a large reception hall. Always ask your floral designer what details or installations can make your day more unique, personal, or special to you.
Steve and Thao were a joy to work with and I'm so grateful they trusted my expertise and were willing to have fun with their flowers.

"Kaytee has been nothing short of AMAZING! From the first time we met with her I knew that she would be able to make all of my wedding flower dreams come true! And that is exactly what she did! From my bouquet, to all of the personals for the wedding party, to filling the terrariums that my mom and I bought for my centerpieces! She never hesitated to help us with suggestions or brain storm when changes needed to be made. Even with her moving out of the state that I live in, she never missed a meeting or detail! Kaytee and her assistant even stayed to make sure all of the transition from cocktail hour location to our dinner location was a smooth and seamless as we wanted! Our day was so perfect and a HUGE reason why was because of Kaytee’s professionalism and passion for her business! Thank you so much Kaytee! I would recommend Roots Floral Design to anyone and everyone!"
